This was a first time purchase for using this cream. It seems to work well. I do find the overall smell is invigorating but it does tingle a little on the skin.

First, I want to explain my story a bit and why I wanted to try this lotion. I have something called a primary immunodeficiency, so it’s basically a disease where my immune system doesn’t work right. So I have a lot of skin inflammation, redness, dryness, skin and muscle pain, and my immune system attacks my skin. It is very frustrating and can be extremely painful and unsightly. I have tried so many different doctor prescribed creams which are often incredibly expensive, and steroid creams thin your skin and cause you to be more susceptible to skin infections. I have failed all of these treatments, as well as a bunch of other medications like weekly injections of chemotherapy. My skin is a stubborn asshole, and I don’t want to thin it any more. Hence why I decided to try a topical CBD-infused lotion rather than continuing to use steroid creams and other medications that don’t really help me. That being said, I do always think it’s important to be open with your doctor before discontinuing any prescribed medications.
This lotion is awesome. Granted, I have only applied it about 3 times, but I’m familiar enough with my frustrating, dry, and inflamed skin that I know when something is working for me and when it’s exacerbating my skin problems. I can always tell right away after a single application if something works for me or not in terms of skin care But I want to just constantly be covered in this. It is lovely. It has a lovely pepperminty, arnica-like smell, which I personally love. It’s a decent size, as it’s 120mL, so it should last me for a bit! The packaging is super cute and good quality as well. Since there are so many plant-based oils in this, it’s pretty moisturizing! Oils/moisturizers with oils are typically better for moisturizing, whereas just plain moisturizers tend to just sit on the skin and help the skin retain its own moisture, rather than actually adding moisture to the skin. I also find it sinks in really well to the skin! Although I don’t recommend this if you have sensitive eyes, I actually am also using this on my face, which will burn your eyes at first due to the pepperminty/arnica scent. However, my face is quite inflamed and I love how this soaks into my skin so I can put makeup on after. I also can’t find anything that helps calm the skin on my face without thinning my skin or irritating my eyes long term. Around my eyes is always dry. After the minty eye burn, it actually moisturizes quite well! Then, since it does soak in, you can add more lotion for more moisture. I also love that this has aloe juice, which is also quite anti-inflammatory. Any guys… my skin hates EVERYTHING. It is eternally dry. So finding something that actually moisturizes, allows me to put makeup on over top, and doesn’t anger my skin is a MIRACLE. I have tried plenty of hypoallergenic dermatologist recommended creams, so things like this are a hit or miss. I’d say this is for sure a real HIT (I think I’m going to go take a hit now too of some B=F Blue Dream, haha).
I definitely think this will be a staple for me from now and into the future, so I’m so excited! Thank you B&F!
