Octobowl

An octobowl refers to a specialized type of bowl, typically made of borosilicate glass, designed for improved use in bongs and water pipes. The octobowl gets its name from containing a glass screen with eight small slits at the bottom instead of typical hole perforations. This slitted glass screen helps finely diffuse airflow while preventing ash and dry particles from pulling through when inhaling, promoting smooth and thorough vaporization. The tight glass filter also allows even burning and reduces likelihood of material getting stuck and clogging the bowl. In terms of operation, an octobowl functions just like any standard bowl – by holding ground cannabis for inhalation through the piece. For cleaning, soaking the octobowl in isopropyl alcohol readily dissolves away stubborn residue over time.
